Updates from our Hawai‘i field projects

In 2018 we will have three field projects in Hawai‘i, off Kaua‘i, Hawai‘i Island, and Lāna‘i. For most projects we post regular updates on what we are seeing and what we are accomplishing in the field. You can also get updates on all of Cascadia's activities by following us on Facebook.

The research vessel we have been using off Kaua‘i, O‘ahu and Lāna‘i, a 24' rigid-hulled Zodiac.

Our primary research vessel off Hawai‘i Island, the Wild Whale (a 27' Boston Whaler), owned by the Wild Whale Research Foundation based in Kona

Updates from most of our previous field projects since 2006 can be found below

The 50' New Horizon, owned by Bali Hai Sportsfishing. We've used this vessel for offshore surveys in 2006 and 2008
